An eLearning site supported by the Office of Local Government Grants Program
Welcome to Responsible Pet Ownership
Penrith Council is making it easier for you to learn more about caring for your four-legged friends.
Our new eLearning site has courses on a range of topics including dogs and cats, registration requirements, and pets and families. And the best part is it’s all free and online – so you can access it from the comfort of your own home.
You’ll also receive a certificate for every course you complete.
We have a responsibility to our pets, and also to our community to keep and house our pets in a responsible and safe way.
This website is a fantastic way to stay up to date with your responsibilities as a pet owner, prepare to be a pet owner, and learn how to be the best friend possible to your four-legged pals.
EVENT
Free Microchipping Day
Come to Jamison Park on Saturday 23 March from 9am to 12pm for Council’s free microchipping day to get your free pet microchip and speak to a range of animal services.
Microchipping your dog or cat helps keep them safe and means you can be reunited quickly if your pet is lost. In NSW all dogs and cats must be microchipped by 12 weeks old or before being sold or given away (whichever happens first).
Have you checked your pet’s microchip information lately? The easiest way to update your pet’s microchip details is through the NSW Pet Registry
